It’s that time of year again: planning for our biggest customer and user event, Oracle Open World.

I recently shared some advice for getting the most out of your conference experience, here’s a 2 minute video:

One of the bits there I suggested was to mark one or two sessions a day that you might want to attend.

Well, since you’re here, I’m assuming you might find the stuff our team is doing appealing.

Note this list is built with the Session Builder, and is accurate as of 9/14/2015 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

Here’s your official list:

Hands On Labs

No homework. Nothing to bring but your brain. Sit down, and we’ll step you through the lab, and answer any questions you might have. This year we are running the same lab over each day of the conference. It was very well attended last year and we wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to see how easy it is to get REST support for your Oracle Database.

Get Up to Speed with Oracle REST Data Services [HOL10482]
Learn how to install Oracle REST Data Services and quickly AutoREST-enable your database objects with Oracle SQL Developer 4.1. This session also shows users wanting to do full REST development how to create and test a RESTful service, use parameters and feeds, insert and update data, and view results in JSON in the web browser.

    Hi,

I use SQL Developer a lot and was wondering a few stuffs which could be needed. For example, while viewing a TABLE in the Objectviewer, is there any way we can customize what columns we can see from DBA_OBJECTS table? SImilar for Indexes, because if the Index is INVISIBLE we wouldn’t know that in Object Viewer unless we physically go and check with SQL query…..

    • You’re saying while viewing a table and then it’s indexes, there’s no entry there to indicate the VISIBLE property value?

    • Nandakumar

Yes correct. How can we customize the object viewer to see additional columns from DBA_TABLES, DBA_INDEXES ETC…..?

    • Nandakumar

Ok, will you be able to give me a xml code for the indexes to add in extension?

      appreciate your help.

    • Nandakumar

XML tag had errors, now it is working…

Thanks a lot for your help.. amazing…
