You may have noticed a few posts lately where I’m talking about new and improved features in SQL Developer version 4.0. You may have also been too busy to read all of them. For shame! But that’s OK.
I’ll be doing a webcast with ODTUG on Tuesday, August 20 at NOON Eastern Time.
When I’m asked to describe ODTUG, I go with “Well, ODTUG used to stand for ‘Oracle Developer Tools User Group’, but it’s grown into one of the best independent user groups for anyone involved with Oracle technology and applications.” They describe themselves a bit differently…
ODTUG is an independent, not-for-profit, global organization whose sole purpose is to keep you on the cutting-edge of the constantly changing technology landscape.
Anyways, one of the services they provide are webinars. You can see their upcoming schedule here. Anyone can sign up and attend. They’re recorded and available to watch on demand IF you’re a member. Access to the webinars alone is probably worth the $99/year membership fee. Disclosure: I’m a member and I personally endorse ODTUG.
What’s New in Oracle SQL Developer 4
Jeff Smith, Oracle Corporation
SQL Developer is the Oracle Database IDE. Version 4 is currently in Early Adopter (preview-beta) mode and the Product Manager invites everyone to take an hour for an overview of the major new features, improvements, and tweaks. The session will be a mix of slidedeck and live demo and will cover the command-line interface, reports, look and feel, The Cart, and much, much more. We will also discuss the current Database 12c supported features such as Multitenant, Redaction, and new SQL and PL/SQL syntax.
And here’s the link to REGISTER for the SQL Developer webinar.
These webinars are scheduled to go for an hour. I talk a lot, so sometimes we run a little longer. And OF COURSE I’m always happy to take questions. See you then!
