Oracle Open World is just around the corner. Every year, tens of thousands of Oracle geeks gather in San Francisco for a week for learning, networking, and more than a little bit of fun and socializing.
If you’re going to be there, here’s what you need to know about your favorite development tools team 🙂

3rd Annual SQLDev Golden Gate Fun Run 5k
On Sunday before all the craziness starts, a few of us gather early in the morning to run across the Golden Gate Bridge and back. It’s very easy to get ‘stuck’ in the city during a convention. Here’s a chance to get out a bit and see one of the most famous landmarks in the world – up close and personal. Plus you can hang out and meet some cool people from around the world.
Sessions
Session ID | Title | Date/Time |
---|---|---|
CON7326 | What’s New in Oracle SQL Developer 4.1 | 2014-09-29 12:00 PM |
CON7332 | Oracle SQL Developer for the DBA | 2014-09-30 10:45 AM |
CON7333 | Collaborative Design with Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler | 2014-10-02 10:30 AM |
CON7344 | Oracle SQL Developer Tips and Tricks | 2014-10-01 10:15 AM |
All sessions above are scheduled to be in Moscone South, room 307.
I’m excited to be co-presenting with Heli from Finland. She’s one of our Oracle ACE Directors, and is currently working on a data modeling book. We’ll be attacking a database design simultaneously, and then fighting to merge our changes in. I’m thinking Heli will have a ton of real-world best practices to cover and I can show off a few Modeler technical widgets that can clear up the ‘fog of war’, so to speak.
Oh, and you have have noticed a session title with ‘4.1’ in it. Yes, stay tuned to learn more about our upcoming release of your favorite database IDE.
Be sure to check the conference schedule as times and places are likely to change.
In addition to the above sessions, we’ll have a few Hands On Labs and two demo pods. So if you have questions about our technology, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get your answers in-person.
